I believe people are constantly angry and anxious because they expect too much from other people.

Imagine yourself as the captain of a ship, traveling from where you are now to where you want to be in five years. The wind is strong, the water is rough, and the waves are violent, leaving you with limited options to save yourself.

You have two choices: take charge of the situation, make the right strategic decisions, adjust the boat sails, or blame the weather, curse the wind, and let the ship be tossed aimlessly into the sea.

I’m not innocent. I used to make the easy choice and blame others instead of taking responsibility. Now, I’ve learned to be the owner of my life instead of a victim. I take responsibility for my actions, choices, and outcomes instead of being powerless and blaming others.

These are the 3 choices I make to be the owner of my life.

1- Nobody is coming to save you.

I learned this lesson from Seth Godin, who once gave valuable advice to Bryan Elliott, the creator of Behind the Brand.
